Who doesn't love a great breakfast? Hot coffee, fresh juice, the smell of bacon frying on the grill and pancakes being flipped on the griddle. Coming from Chicago, I actually found it hard to find a great place that compared with some of my favorites in my hometown. But 100 omelettes, eggs Benedicts, breakfast sandwiches, & mimosas/bloodies later (don't judge!), I think I found some great contenders.
Most of these selections are near Zen Den Scottsdale - this ground zero luxury vacation rental we created in the heart of North Scottsdale. However, some of the selections have other locations across the Valley. When our guests aren't cooking up a storm, they also enjoy these selections which come from our 30+ page dining/entertainment guide we sent to each of our booking guests to help them choose the best restaurants and places to visit while in Scottsdale.
The Breakfast Joynt: Thompson Peak and Bell- Great, solid breakfast. This Chicago Cubs themed breakfast spot is one of our favorites for breakfast. Our Zen Den guests also get a special perk! The best omelettes around. Everything is great and they are super nice.
Eggstacy: DC Ranch Market Street breakfast place has great breakfasts and a large menu. This location is temporarily closed due to a fire so check to make sure it’s open or go to their location near Shea Blvd & Scottsdale Rd.
Hash Kitchen: Thompson Peak and Frank Lloyd Wright and other locations as well. Good breakfasts, Bloody Mary bar, DJ's on weekends.
Breakfast Kitchen Bar: Located in Scottsdale Quarter and Desert Ridge, this place has a huge menu and also a KETO menu. Try the fried avocados!
Black Rock Coffee Bar: Near Bell and Thompson Peak and other locations as well. More of a coffee place with a few bites, but excellent coffee and cute atmosphere and super close to Zen Den Scottsdale! Has a drive thru. This is a favorite of our guests.
Butters Pancakes and Café: Off Northsight Blvd and other locations as well. Very popular breakfast spot with the usual breakfast items.
Sugar Jam: Hayden near Northsight. (close to Costco) Southern breakfast spot that is super popular and has a southern twist on breakfast. They even have a DJ on the weekends!
Snooze- An AM Eatery: Excellent breakfast spot in Kierland Commons.
OEB Breakfast & Co: Near Scottsdale Rd and Mayo. This chef- driven breakfast place is more unique than your typical breakfast. Beautifully prepared/presented and nice atmosphere and patio.
First Watch: Multiple locations across in the Scottsdale area with the closest to Zen Den being Hayden and Thompson Peak. Decent food, but I prefer their avocado toast and other items to their egg dishes.
